De non-profit organisatie European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) stelt wereldwijde standaarden op voor ICT-toepassingen, inclusief technologieën voor mobiele telefonie en radio. ETSI is officieel erkend door de Europese Unie als Europese Standaard Organisatie.
